City of Edmonton Bylaw Regarding Treehouses
In light of the recent problems here in Vancouver I thought this bylaw may be relevant:
Tree Houses
NOTES:
- A tree house which is fully supported by a tree does not require a permit. However, if the tree house (playhouse) is positioned on the ground (with or without supports), it is considered an accessory building.
- A permit is then required if the structure is on the ground.
- The tree house (supported playhouse) has to be 3 feet away from neighbour's property line and can not be higher than 12 feet.
