This is an animation of the 3d design used on the Canim Lake Treehouse profiled on this site.

I measured the trees and plotted them in virtual space using Maya. Also modelled all the wood that had been reclaimed for the project.

This technique allowed me to optimize the design according to the trees. Also made actual construction much easier after making mistakes in virtual reality!

"Building a Treehouse at Grandma's"

The construction of a treehouse with young boys at Lake Roosevelt, Washington in August 2006.

The treehouse was built using all recycled materials and designed using a book by David Stiles.

Builder expects to complete the treehouse in Summer 2007. Plans included a 90' zip-line. 15' rope/plank bridge and cargo net.
